MAGNESIUM HYDROXIDE is a very finely grounded product having an extremely uniform and narrow particle size distribution. It is considered as a non halogenated, environment friendly and non toxic mineral based flame retardant & smoke suppressant. It is an Aluminum & Magnesium inorganic complex synergist treated with dispersing aids which results in the superior dispersion, processability and compatibility with the polymer hence imparting superior flame retardant & Smoke Suppressant properties as compared to other traditional synergists, especially in PVC. It is an aluminium & zinc inorganic complex synergist treated with Silane which acts as a coupling agent, therefore imparting superior flame retardancy as compared to traditional synergists and it also helps in reducing smoke in PVC FRLS formulations.Flamex is also a very effective flame retardant in rigid PVC (UPVC) systems without the need for Antimony Trioxide. Flamex being an effective flame retardant can therefore replace some of the antimony trioxide in various formulations thus reducing cost. Alternatively, Flamex may be incorporated in addition to the Antimony trioxide thus improving the flame retardant properties of the composition. It is an Aluminum, Magnesium & Zinc inorganic complex synergist treated with Silane which acts as a coupling agent and therefore improves the dispersion in the polymer and imparts superior flame retardant & Smoke Suppressant properties as compared to traditional synergists, especially in PVC.Making use of the proprietary synergist technology provides a boost in the Char Formation and helps in attaining the desired Limiting Oxygen Index Value without any addition of Antimony Trioxide in FRLS PVC Formulations. The synergy of Flame Guard has also been reported along with a high dosage of ATH in various PVC Flame Retardant Low Smoke Formulations.
